Filiz Ozmisir

Filiz is a performance-driven healthcare professional with over ten years of regional and international experience in clinical and research fields. Passionate about community giving and women's health, she excels in crafting and implementing strategies for unprecedented outcomes.

Filiz is nearing completion of her Doctor of Medicine degree at Windsor University School of Medicine and boasts an extensive educational background that includes several other degrees. She holds a Master's degree in Family Practice Nursing from the University of Toronto, with a focus on global health and women's health, and a Master's degree in Public Policy, for which she was honoured with the prestigious 2016 MPP Fellowship Award. Additionally, she studied International Development at Sciences Po University in France and earned Bachelor's degrees in Nursing and Psychology in Canada, along with Bachelor’s degrees in theology and public relations in Turkiye.

Filiz has contributed to academia as a Lecturer at the University of Toronto, teaching graduate-level courses on the Social Context of Policy Making. Her expertise extends to public policy research, where she served as a Public Policy Researcher at the Ontario Ministry of Health, contributing to the development of regulatory policies for healthcare professionals.

As the Founder and CEO of Refugee Girls Worldwide, Filiz leads a team of executives, crafting strategies and ensuring operational efficiency. Her successful fundraising efforts drive programs that advance displaced women's and girls' health and education globally.
