Refugee Girls Self-Defence Program
Promoting physical and mental resilience for refugee girls through comprehensive self-defence and confidence training.
In Istanbul, Syrian refugee girls navigate daily threats and discrimination. The RGW-Refugee Association's self-defence program, under the bold banner "Who Says Girls Can't Fight," empowers them with crucial skills and promotes physical fitness, tackling these urgent challenges head-on.
Participants, ranging from young girls to teenagers, receive comprehensive training that builds confidence and promotes physical fitness.
Upon completing the program, they earn certificates, affirming their skills and boosting their self-assurance.
This program empowers them to navigate their challenging environments more safely and confidently, providing them with the tools they need for greater resilience.
