Launching a new educational initiative: A school dedicated to providing nearly 400 girls in Azad Kashmir with quality education and academic opportunities in underserved areas.
In Azad Kashmir, significant educational barriers continue to restrict girls’ access to quality schooling. These challenges are particularly severe in rural communities, where gender disparities remain pronounced and schools often lack adequate infrastructure and qualified teaching staff.
These inequalities are further compounded by practices such as child marriage, which can interrupt girls’ education and contribute to high dropout rates.
Girls in rural areas remain disproportionately affected by these challenges. Our initiative focuses on underserved communities and currently provides access to quality education for 277 female students.
Launched in May 2024, the project has been fully operational since February 2026. It supports improved educational facilities, qualified teaching staff and community awareness efforts aimed at discouraging child marriage and promoting the importance of girls’ education.
Through these comprehensive efforts, RGW is creating pathways for girls in Azad Kashmir to pursue uninterrupted, quality education and build more empowered and independent futures.
