RGW Malawi Food Security
The RGW Malawi Food Security initiative supports widows, orphan caretakers, and underserved families in poverty-stricken Malawi, Southeastern Africa.
This initiative is particularly vital during cultural and religious periods such as Ramadan and Eid-ul Fitr, fostering community cohesion.
In collaboration with local partners, RGW supports the most vulnerable while boosting the local economy by purchasing food supplies from regional vendors. We have successfully procured and distributed substantial quantities of essential foods — over 5,300 kg of rice, 1,400 kg of sugar, 7,000 kg of flour, and 350 litres of cooking oil — benefiting 1,000 families across three distribution centres.
Beyond providing immediate aid, our initiatives strive to address the underlying causes of poverty. A crucial component of our long-term strategy is the construction of a new school to educate underprivileged children.
We are deeply grateful to our donors and local partners for their crucial support of these vital programs.
