TRAVEL WITH US – TURKEY MISSION 2026
At RGW, we believe meaningful change happens when people connect directly with the communities they aim to support. Our travel missions are designed for individuals who want to go beyond fundraising and witness impact firsthand.
Our mission to Morocco and Turkey from May 1st to May 8th, 2026 offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with our programs on the ground. Participants will meet local stakeholders, partners, and the communities we serve—gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges faced and the solutions being built together.
This mission will allow participants to get involved at the following project sites:
1. Turkey – RGW Scholarship Program (May 4 – 8, 2026)
Many children displaced by conflict have been forced to leave behind everything they once knew – including their education.
RGW’s Scholarship Program in Turkey is dedicated to helping these children return to school and rebuild their futures. Participants on ground will gain insight into the barriers displaced youth face—especially for girls, who are disproportionately affected and often unable to resume their education.
2. Turkey – Maternal & Newborn Health Program (May 4 – 8, 2026)
For displaced mothers, pregnancy and early motherhood can be especially vulnerable and uncertain without access to proper care and support.
RGW’s Maternal & Newborn Care Initiative addresses the unique challenges faced by displaced families from pregnancy through early childhood.
During their time on the ground, participants will gain insight into these challenges and support the delivery of community-based care through home visits, educational support, maternity kits, and so forth.
Where Your Fundraising Goes
All funds raised through this campaign will directly support RGW’s programs in Morocco and Turkey. These contributions help provide essential resources such as:
● Food and basic essentials
● Educational tools and school support
● Maternal and newborn care resources
Our 100% model ensures that every dollar raised goes directly towards those who need it.
What Participants Will Do
Across our project sites in Turkey and Morocco, participants will have an opportunity to:
● Connect with students and hear their stories
● Engage with local community members and hear their experiences
● Observe educational activities and community programs
● Support delivery of maternal and newborn kits and essentials
● Engage with workshops on prenatal, infant, and family health
● See how resources like school support and kits are distributed
By supporting these programs, vital support reaches communities, helping them thrive and build lasting resilience.
