Pakistan Flood - RGW Emergency Response

Over 33 million individuals were affected by the devastating floods that swept through Pakistan in 2022, resulting in the complete destruction of one million homes.

RGW swiftly responded to the devastating floods in Pakistan by collaborating with local partners on the ground. Our team focused on the Khuzdar district in Balochistan, areas in Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, prioritizing practical and effective emergency assistance, especially for vulnerable households, including women and girls.

We ensured families received weatherproof tents with ample space for immediate shelter and distributed essential relief items like blankets and food packs. These food packs contained essentials such as flour, rice, sugar, cooking oil, and cultural legumes like moong dal and chana dal, aligning with local dietary practices and offering familiar and nourishing options.

By addressing shelter and food security, RGW played a crucial role in aiding communities affected by this natural disaster, working towards restoring normalcy in their lives. RGW remains committed to supporting communities in times of crisis and contributing to their recovery and resilience
