Monthly Food Packs for Refugee Families in Turkiye

RGW's monthly food packs program plays a central role in addressing food insecurity and promoting education, particularly for girls, by alleviating financial burdens on refugee families.

Since 2019, we've supported over 100 families each month in Adana, Turkiye — a city densely populated with refugees and further affected by the 2023 earthquake. These families are carefully selected, with a focus on households headed by widows and families with children, especially girls.

Each family in RGW’s verified system, typically comprising 4-6 members, receives a monthly allocation of 50-70kg of essential food aid. These packs contain high-quality, nutritious items such as rice, oil, sugar, milk, chickpeas, tea, lentils, and more.

Our holistic approach extends beyond basic sustenance. It helps prevent early marriages of daughters due to financial strain and supports widows, breaking harmful cycles perpetuated by poverty and forced displacement.

In addition to family aid, we operate two medical homes providing shelter to refugees during medical treatment. These facilities, along with two nearby tent cities in Adana, also benefit from our food distribution program.

Your support enables us to sustain this crucial work, aiding war-displaced refugees during challenges and paving a brighter future.
